La Tania, the youngest resort in the Three Valleys

Opened in December 1990 for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, when it served as an additional Olympic village housing athletes and journalists, La Tania is the newest of the resorts that make up the Three Valleys ski area.

Nestled at 1,400 metres, halfway between Courchevel and Méribel in the heart of a fir forest, La Tania keeps a quieter, more family-friendly atmosphere than its neighbours, while offering direct ski-in, ski-out access to the Three Valleys' more than 600 kilometres of linked runs.

Designed in the 1980s under the direction of the architect Jacques Labro, the resort combines a resolutely modern design with the traditional look of mountain chalets.

The village, small in scale and surrounded by forest, is particularly well suited to family holidays: much of the accommodation is close to the slopes and evenings stay calm.

La Tania, a short hop from Courchevel

Skiers can reach La Tania directly from the Courchevel ski area via the forest runs, with no road transfer. By road, the village is a few kilometres from Courchevel Le Praz, making it the shortest road link between Courchevel and another Three Valleys resort.

This proximity makes La Tania a popular base for families who prefer quieter accommodation while enjoying Courchevel's restaurants every evening: a return trip by car is all it takes, without depending on lift times.

The route follows a mountain road through the forest, often snow-covered in winter; our chauffeurs know it perfectly and adapt their driving to the day's conditions.

The village is also linked to the Courchevel ski area by a gondola, but it only runs while the slopes are open: in the evening, the car is the only option for the round trip.

Your chauffeur drops you off and picks you up at the door of your accommodation, even if it is in a hamlet away from the centre.

Book your ride between La Tania and Courchevel

When you arrive from Geneva, Chambéry or Moûtiers station, the transfer ends right outside your chalet or residence in La Tania, luggage and skis included.

During your stay, a chauffeur by the hour lets you combine a morning of ski lessons, lunch in Courchevel 1850 and an afternoon at the spa without calling a taxi between each stop.

Baby seats and booster seats are available on request for young children, of whom there are many in La Tania given the resort's family clientele.

The fare is shown in the booking module before you confirm, with no extra charges on arrival.

For a longer stay, several trips can be booked in advance, for example every evening to Courchevel for dinner, with the return time set case by case.

A late-morning ride also lets you reach Courchevel 1850 for lunch on a terrace, before returning to ski from La Tania in the afternoon.
