Paris Games Week

Late October · 22 to 25 October 2026

Paris

France's largest consumer video game fair brings several hundred thousand visitors to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles every year for four days of hands-on demos, previews and esports competitions.

Since it began, Paris Games Week has become the essential consumer video game event in France, bringing together international publishers, console makers and independent studios around demo stands, world previews and esports tournaments followed by an ever wider audience. The 2026 edition, scheduled from 22 to 25 October in a new format called the Playground Edition, takes place as every year at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, in the 15th arrondissement.

The Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, one of the largest exhibition complexes in Europe, uses several interconnected halls for the occasion, allowing it to host at the same time the stands of the world's largest publishers, esports competition areas equipped for live streaming, and spaces dedicated to independent studios and new immersive technologies such as virtual reality.

With historically more than three hundred thousand visitors over the four days, the fair is one of the biggest consumer events in the capital at this time of year, with a mostly young and family audience but also a high proportion of industry professionals who come earlier for the press days that generally precede the public opening.

Porte de Versailles is served by metro line 12 and the T3a tram, but the fair's huge crowds over a whole weekend quickly saturate these routes, particularly when the site opens and closes each day, creating long queues at the nearby stations and equivalent pressure on the roads of the 15th arrondissement, notably the Périphérique at Porte de Versailles itself.

For families and groups travelling with young children, often carrying equipment or returning with purchases made on site, private transport avoids crowded public transport when leaving the fair, especially at the end of the day, when all visitors leave the site at the same time at closing.

For video game industry professionals going from B2B meetings to press conferences and stand visits over several consecutive days, full-day hire keeps the same chauffeur available between each appointment, an arrangement particularly suited to the busy pace of this kind of trade fair combined with a consumer event.

Practical tips

How to organise your transport for this event

  • 1Allow a generous time margin at the end of the day when leaving the fair, as crowds concentrate heavily at daily closing on the metro and roads around Porte de Versailles.
  • 2For families with children or visitors carrying purchases made on site, private transport avoids crowded public transport at the fair's peak times.
  • 3Professionals attending several days of B2B meetings will benefit from booking full-day hire rather than repeated one-off transfers.
  • 4The Périphérique is particularly busy at Porte de Versailles when the fair opens and closes: plan an alternative route if your chauffeur does not already know the usual bypasses in the area.
