Salon du Chocolat et de la Pâtisserie

Late October / early November · 28 October to 1 November 2026 (opening night on 27 October)

Paris

The world's largest gathering devoted to chocolate and fine pastry brings several hundred exhibitors and pastry chefs from thirty countries to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles for five days of demonstrations, tastings and fashion shows.

Since it began, the Salon du Chocolat has become the world reference event for professionals and lovers of fine chocolate and pastry, bringing together more than two hundred exhibitors from some thirty countries at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles every autumn. The 2026 edition, celebrating its thirty-first year, runs from 28 October to 1 November, preceded by an opening night on 27 October reserved for the press and industry professionals, in Hall 5 of the exhibition centre.

Over five days the fair brings together great chocolatiers, renowned pastry houses, independent artisans and international brands, with a busy programme of cooking demonstrations, workshops for children and adults, talks on cocoa production and the traditional chocolate dress fashion show, which since the beginning has been one of the most photographed highlights of the event, combining fashion and gastronomy in a unique format.

The crowds, concentrated over the five days open to the public, include many families during the day and more professionals at the opening night reserved for the press and partners, two audiences with quite different transport needs: families often travel in groups with young children, while industry professionals frequently go from one B2B meeting with exhibitors to the next.

Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, served by metro line 12 and the T3a tram, usually absorbs the crowds of this kind of fair without major difficulty, as it is smaller than the exhibition centre's largest events, but the opening weekends, traditionally the busiest, still put noticeable pressure on access and parking in the 15th arrondissement around the site.

For pastry and chocolate professionals coming from abroad to make contacts with exhibitors, often on a trip combining several appointments in Paris alongside the fair, full-day chauffeur hire makes it easy to combine visits to the fair with other business meetings in the capital.

Practical tips

How to organise your transport for this event

  • 1The fair's weekends are the busiest: allow extra time for access and parking around Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
  • 2For families with children, private transport avoids public transport at the busy weekend peak times.
  • 3Professionals attending the opening night on 27 October will benefit from booking their chauffeur in advance, as this evening brings together press and partner guests who leave late.
