Mid-November · 12 to 15 November 2026
The largest international fair devoted to photography brings together more than two hundred exhibitors from thirty countries under the glass roof of the Grand Palais every year, with a special 2026 edition coinciding with the bicentenary of the invention of photography.
Since it began, Paris Photo has become the world reference event for the art photography market, bringing together specialist galleries, photobook publishers and auction houses every November at the Grand Palais, on Avenue du Général Eisenhower in the 8th arrondissement. The 2026 edition, the twenty-ninth, held from 12 to 15 November, is special because it coincides with the celebration of the bicentenary of the invention of photography, an anniversary that considerably enriches this year's programme with special exhibitions tracing two centuries of the medium's history.
More than two hundred and thirty exhibitors from more than thirty countries present over four days a complete panorama of contemporary and historic photography, from prints by recognised photographers to work by young emerging talent, in an architectural setting, the fully renovated nave of the Grand Palais, particularly well suited to showcasing this visual medium.
The fair is open from 1pm to 8pm on weekdays, closing at 7pm on Sunday, and attracts international collectors, museum curators and art lovers from all over the world, following on from the contemporary art week that regularly animates Paris at this time, with the area of the 8th arrondissement around the Grand Palais hosting a high density of cultural and social events alongside the fair itself.
Access to the Grand Palais via Champs-Élysées Clemenceau metro station remains the most direct option for the general public, but the fair's VIP guests, used to high standards throughout their acquisition journey, overwhelmingly prefer private transport for the openings and meetings with gallerists that punctuate each of the four days.
The area around the Champs-Élysées and Avenue Winston Churchill naturally has heavy traffic all year round, which increases during Paris Photo week as the fair's crowds add to the usual tourist traffic of this iconic district, making detailed knowledge of alternative routes particularly useful to avoid the most predictable bottlenecks when the fair opens and closes each day.
For this week, LimoAirportGroup organises chauffeur hire adapted to the pace of an art fair of this level, between private appointments with galleries before the official opening, the visit to the fair itself and dinners or receptions held alongside the event in the capital's most sought-after venues.
