Salon du Cheval de Paris

The Salon du Cheval de Paris brings together more than four hundred horses and many specialist exhibitors at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles for three days, an unmissable event for riding enthusiasts in the Paris region.

Every early December, the Salon du Cheval de Paris brings together at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles a complete panorama of the French equestrian world: more than four hundred horses of various breeds and disciplines, more than one hundred and sixty exhibitors specialising in riding equipment, feed and services, and a programme of equestrian demonstrations and shows that attracts a loyal audience of enthusiasts and families every year, who come to discover the world of horses in all its forms.

The 2026 edition runs from 4 to 6 December in the 15th arrondissement, close to the other major fairs that traditionally fill Paris Expo at this time of year, as the site hosts a succession of major consumer events throughout autumn and winter that keep the whole Porte de Versailles area busy.

Although attendance at the Salon du Cheval is more moderate than at the exhibition centre's biggest events, such as the Agricultural Show or Paris Games Week, the event still draws large crowds on its opening weekend, particularly families who come in groups to enjoy the equestrian shows and activities offered over the three days.

The presence of many horses on site requires particular transport logistics for exhibitors and participating riders, with horse boxes arriving on top of the usual flow of visitors, specific traffic worth knowing about for anyone travelling to the show by private vehicle during set-up and dismantling outside the three days open to the public.

For families or riding enthusiasts travelling from outside Paris, private transport to Porte de Versailles avoids public transport on a weekend when the combined crowds of the exhibition centre's different fairs can make public transport less comfortable than during the week.
